Become a Donor

Our goal is to raise $150,000 before our Post COVID-19 re-launch in December 2023. Luckily, we’ve already raised $20,300 due to the kindness of many individuals, but with your help we can easily meet our goal by January! The price seems steep, but the nurturing and training of future service dogs is a special, and very important process.

How much does it cost to train a puppy?

For six months, one puppy will be housed with a puppy parent. This puppy parent will raise the dog and take him or her to a special class every weekend. There can be up to eight puppies at a time with a foster. Puppy parenting classes and care costs up to $4,300. The next step is a bootcamp where the puppies will be at a more specific training with room and board for three months. At bootcamp, the pups will learn the nuances of care, like being comfortable in every environment that they’re put in, and how to react to a human’s emotions. Bootcamp’s costs an average of around $5,500. After bootcamp, the puppies return to their puppy parents for finishing school. Every weekend, the dogs will be at two classes to refine their skills and affirm their newly learned habits. During this time they will be going to events with the organization and various public outings, learning more and more everyday until they are around a year to a year and a half old and ready to graduate. Finishing school can be up to $4,700, of course these costs are variable depending on what the dogs and needs of their eventual handler. Cumulatively there is a training cost of about $25,000 per dog for the duration of their education.

This breakdown is of training costs only, and does not include food and medical. We want to insure that our puppies have the best care and training possible.

Our puppies are going to become lifelong companions and you can help make that happen.

Donors get the privilege of naming our dogs, being invited to a special donor dinner in November, and the knowledge that you are helping better someone’s life!
